It is the Third Vehicle, "Vajrayana", the Diamond Vehicle or Raft. In 300 AC it borrowed the Hindu belief in the goddess Shakti sexual power and developed a cult devoted to idols, magic and sex.

    - Most scholars associate the Tantric tradition with Tibet, because of its wide use.

    - Mahayana deals with the intellectual of being, Tantrism how it is or feels to be. Mahayana looks at Being; Tantric Buddhism to act through Being.

    - One must achieve Enlightenment through one's own body, which contains the whole cosmos, and insists in the ineffability of the "own mystical experience".

    - The "initiate" identifies himself with gods and goddesses that represent the cosmic forces, "visualizing" them with the help of "mudras" (gestures and postures), with "mantras" (repeated words of gods), "icons", all of which are believed to possess the essence of the divinities to be invoked; the "mandala" represents the universe...

... It culminates with the "vajrasattva yoga", in 4 stages, and the forth is the consummation of the sexual act, to obtain a diamond-like body... this way the student practices the union of the passive female deity with the dynamic male, possessing an absolutely indestructible or diamond-like nature beyond all dualism... the process of meditation is gradual under a teacher.

    - It has been condemned as a degeneration of Buddhism, and indeed it is an anti-Buddhism...
