Mourners flood the road leading to St. Peter's Square, at the Vatican, April 6, 2005. In an extraordinary spectacle of devotion they have to stand for 24 hours to view the body of Pope John Paul II. Police cut off line of pilgrims who want to view pope as another million mourners stream into Vatican. Several millions want just to see him. The greatest outpouring of sympathy in the history of humankind.
