Only Two More Popes after John Paul II
Prophecies of St. Malachy on the Last Popes

Prophecies about the popes coming after John Paul II:

St. Malachy, Archbishop of Armagh, Ireland, in the 12th century, friend of Saint Bernard of Clairvaux who helped him establish the Cistercians in Ireland. St. Bernard wrote a biography of him in his book "Life of Saint Malachy," and sat with him as he died.
St. Malachy was canonized in 1190 by Pope Clement III.
According to his biographer, St. Malachy was visiting Rome in 1139 when he went into a trance and received a vision. Malachy wrote down this extraordinary vision in which he claims to have foreseen all of the popes from the death of Innocent II until the destruction of the church and the return of Christ. He named exactly 112 popes from that time until the end.
St. Malachy wrote a few prophetically descriptive words in Latin, a motto, about each one of the popes. He then gave the manuscript to Pope Innocent II and it was deposited in the Vatican Archives where it was forgotten for several centuries. Then in 1590, it was rediscovered and published.

St. Malachy prophesied that there will be another two popes after John Paul II:

1- Number 111, "de gloria Olivae",  and the Benedictine order traditionally said this Pope would come from their order. Saint Benedict himself prophesied that before the end of the world his Order, known also as the Olivetans, will triumphantly lead the Catholic Church in its fight against evil.

2- And then "Peter of Rome" without number nor motto, the only pope named "Peter", after the first Apostle Peter. And indeed this simple prophecy has been fulfilled, no other Pope with the name "Peter" yet.
"Peter of Rome" will be in extreme persecution, the seat of the Holy Roman Church will be occupied by Peter the Roman, who will feed the sheep through many tribulations, at the term of which the city of seven hills will be destroyed, and the formidable Judge will judge his people.
