    - Foreign Trips:
            -  As of today, 2003, he has made 102 foreign trips,visited 129 different countries.
            - 580 cities visited

            - Over 1 million kilometers traveled outside Italy
            - 500 days spent traveling
            - Over 3,000 speeches made on travels
            - 3 million people, Manila 1995 - largest public crowd ever for one person  
            - In each country the Pope kissed the ground at his arrival
    - Trips in Italy: 143 trips to different cities outside of Rome
