Pray always, without ceasing

Here I am again, your friend Jesus, to remind you of a fact that should be essential in your life, if you want to have a happy one: You have to pray always, continually, without ceasing (Lk.18:1)… always!… at home, at work, when you relax, when you eat or play, at times of joy and sorrows… continually, keep on praying without ceasing!.

You often pray only when you can do nothing else, but prayer should be your way of life.

How can you pray without ceasing?: There are two main ways:

1- As Paul suggests, "Rejoice always, pray constantly, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you" (Thes.5:16-18)… "always and for everything giving thanks in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God the Father"(Eph.5:20).

It is simple: Give thanks to God, with joy, always, for everything, in all circumstances: On a sunny day: Thanks God. On a rainy day: Thanks God. On a stormy day: Thanks God, the lightening and thunders are also gifts of God for you… it is the way to pray constantly

When you eat or work or play: Thanks God. Are you sick, or in need, or with big problems?: Thanks God… God cares so much about you that even all your hairs has well counted (Mt.10:30). And giving thanks to God, with joy, is the first main step for that sickness or problem to be solved.

Often I hear: Poor child who died so soon!… but you should say: Happy child, God brought him to Heaven so soon in life!… you often forget that the main purpose of God for you is to bring you to the eternal joys of Heaven… St. Francis of Assisi or mother Teresa of Calcutta never had a penny, and they were very happy people…. on earth!.

Everything in your life is a gift of God, prepared with care for you: "there is no god beside me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand" (Deut.32:39)

To give thanks to God always, with joy, is the way to pray constantly, and the secret of happiness of the Bible…. "Trust in God" is the message of every page in the Old Testament. In the New, it is "Faith in Christ", which is almost the same…

Some people do the opposite: Instead of giving thanks to God always, they are complaining constantly: If it snows, they have to shovel it. If it rains, they get wet. Even if it is a beautiful sunshine day, they complain because they are working and can't enjoy it… instead of always praying, they are always slandering God, as if he would always prepare just the wrong thing for them… and this why they are always sad, instead of being always happy… on earth!…

And, on top of it, after being always sad on earth, they will go to eternal Hell… and those who live on earth always happy, giving thanks to God constantly, will go to eternal Heaven.

2- The second way to pray constantly, is to see Me, Christ, in each one of your neighbors, as I repeated 13 times in my Sermon of the Last Judgment of Matt.25:31-46, "Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me" (Matt.25:40).

When you prepare the meals for your husband or children, you are preparing them for Me in person, for Jesus!.

One hour of work is one hour of prayer, if you do it for Me, for Jesus.

When you give food to the hungry, or cloth, or shelter, you give it to Me, to Jesus. When you deny a smile or make an injustice to anyone, you do it to Jesus.

You would be proud to fix the car of the President or the King of your nation… you would even post a sign saying, "here we fix the car of the President", or "this is the beaty parlor of the Queen"… you would do a good job, and won't cheat… well, next time you fix the car of anyone, you are fixing my car, the one of Jesus, and taking care of Jesus when any client or patient goes to your office, or when you sell anything to a client, that's Me, Jesus, in person.

I, Jesus, come to you everyday dress as a white or a black, as a nun or a prostitute, as a child or as an invalid or a youngster…

You will be happier on earth, honored… praying and touching Me, Jesus, any time you deal with anyone of your neighbors… and that's constant prayer, praying without ceasing!.

And that's the glorious life I want you to have on Earth… and on top of it, Heaven or Hell are hanging on it!.

Your friend,

Jesus of Nazareth.

Read it in full in Matt.25:31-46:

31 "When the Son of man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne.
32 Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate them one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats,
33 and he will place the sheep at his right hand, but the goats at the left.
34 Then the King will say to those at his right hand, 'Come, O blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world;
35 for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me,
36 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.'
37 Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see thee hungry and feed thee, or thirsty and give thee drink?
38 And when did we see thee a stranger and welcome thee, or naked and clothe thee?
39 And when did we see thee sick or in prison and visit thee?'
40 And the King will answer them, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me.'
41 Then he will say to those at his left hand, 'Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels;
42 for I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink,
43 I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.'
44 Then they also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see thee hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to thee?
45 Then he will answer them, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did it not to one of the least of these, you did it not to me.'
46 And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."

Jesus
