Pray with Jesus the
"Our Father"
I am Jesus, to pray with you the "Our Father" I taught you in Mat.6:9:13 and Lk.11:2-4.
It is located in the center of the Sermon of the Mountain, the Constitution of Christianity, in Matthew chapters 5, 6, and 7:
Father:
Give thanks to the Father who designed and made your eyes and feet and brain… all the scientists have been unable to make not even one of your hairs!…
Thank you, Father: You gave the most perfect eyes I could have, to do what I have to do. If I could had a choice, probably I would have chosen the eyes of an eagle, and I would have been mistaken, because mine are perfect to do what I have to do, not to do what the eagle has to do…
Thank you, Father, for the shape of my face and body… and for the parents and country you chose for me… in fact, you did with me what any father on earth would have done if he could have chosen the hands and heart and face of his son or daughter, everything would have been the very best for them… and so it is with me!.
Forgive me Father, for the times I have envied the face or body or spirit of another people… those are perfect for them, but no one on this world has even a hair better than mine to do what I have to do!
Yes Father, I am proud to be your child, the child of God, of the multimillionaire in money and health and honor and power, with envy to no one, because all you have is for me, for your child!… and every minute of this life you give me the best I need, thanks because you care so much about me that even the hairs of my head you have always well counted (Mt.10:30).
Our Father:
The same God who made you, made any Christian and a Muslim and a Jew and a Hindu and any Buddhist… the same Father who made your face, made the hands of a Christian, and the feet of a Muslim, and the heart of every Jew, and the brain of any Hindu…
Thank you, Father, I bless you because you made all of us brothers in You… give me strength to respect and love each one of my neighbors the way they are, the way you made them…
If I would have been born in China, I would be now a Chinese… or in Africa, and African… and it is the very best for them, as it is the very best for me to have been born in Europe, and to live in America for the last 38 years…
Give me understanding, Father, to recognize that the one born from a Jew or a Catholic or a Muslim, most probably is now a Jew a Catholic or a Muslim respectively… give me strength and wisdom to respect and love the black and the white, the rich and the poor, the wise and the ignorant, the good and the bad one, because each person on earth is my brother and sister in You, more that if they would have been born from my same mother!… no parent on earth knows how to make faces nor hearts nor brains… you really made us all, You are the real Maker and Father of each one of us!… thank you, Father.
Hollowed be your name:
You were made to adore God on Earth, and to enjoy Him eternally in Heaven…
Give thanks to God, with joy, always and in any circumstance, it is a way to pray constantly, without ceasing, and it is one formula of the Bible to obtain happiness on Earth (Thes.5:16-18, Ef.5:20)… and on top of it, eternal happiness in Heaven!… See my other letter to you: Pray Without Ceasing .
Your kingdom come:
When I, Jesus, resurrected, I went to Heaven… and when you think about Heaven, do not imagine something far away… Heaven is where I am, if I am in your heart, the whole Heaven is in you, the Father and the Spirit and all the angels and saints… God is everywhere, but if I am in you, God abides in you, you are the home of God, the Temple of God, the Temple of the Holy Spirit… you may be around your city or country, or travel far away, but your home is your home… well your body is the home of God!…
… I know it is mind bogging… but it is the truth!… you can't see it, not feel it, nor experience it… you just have to believe it… and that's one of the greatest battles of faith… if you could see or experience it, your body could not hold such a great magnificence and it would explode in a thousand deaths to go to the eternal bliss of knowledge and vision… because that's what it is eternal life, "to know the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom he has sent" (Jn.17:3).
I, Jesus, am the kingdom of God: You have to abide in me, in my Church, and I in your heart… and that's the kingdom of God on Earth… and when you ask the Father, "your kingdom come", you are asking that I, Jesus, come to your heart… because I am not only the King, I am also, in person, the Kingdom.
And it is easy, just believe in Me, have faith in me… and if you have faith in me, do what I tell you to do: First of all, get baptized in my Church, in my only one Mystical Body, and you get both parts of the kingdom: You abide in me, and I abide in you… you are in the kingdom, in my Church, and the whole kingdom is in you! (Jn.15:4-7).
Father, your kingdom come… Say it: "I believe in Jesus, and I receive him in my heart… give me the grace to do what he tells me to do. Thank you Father. Amen".
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven:
This is the central of the 7 petitions in the Our Father prayer:
The "Will of God"!… it is the only thing done in Heaven, because it is the most glorious and joyful way of life… it is eternal life!… and those in Heaven can see it in full vision, and enjoy it to continually explode with the love, joy, and peace that only God can give… and eternally!… no one can take it away!…
On Earth it is the same: To do the "Will of God" is the only way to have Me, Jesus, in your heart, the only way to live in the Kingdom of God, and to have the whole Kingdom in your heart.
The Commandments?… Yes, it was the way in the Old Testament: They are like the laws of traffic, if we don't follow then, and pass the red light, or go into the sidewalk or outside the road, we may hurt others, or get ourselves killed… but not even Moses could fulfill the Commandments!…
So, God had a new plan, a New Covenant, an easier one: The "Will of God" since Jesus Christ is to have faith in the Son, and just like that, "He who believes in the Son has eternal life; he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God rests upon him" (Jn.3:36)…
To have Jesus in our heart is the way the old prophecy is fulfilled, "A new heart I will give you, and a new spirit I will put within you; and I will take out of your flesh the heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to observe my ordinances" (Ez.36:26-27)… this is the way to be born again, just by Baptism in the Church of Christ…
And this is it, the essence of the New Covenant, so easy!: "This is the New Covenant that I will make with the house of Israel…: I will put my laws into their minds, and write them on their hearts… I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more." In speaking of a New Covenant he treats the first as obsolete" (Heb.8:10-12, Jer.31:31-34).
The Sermon of the Mountain, in Matt.5-7, is the Constitution of Christianity, and in its 3 chapters explains perfectly the way in action of this New Covenant, the "Will of God", after Christ:
1- Matt.5: The new law of love of Christ, much finer and difficult than the law of Moses.
2- Matt.6: The way to fulfil it is to have Jesus in you by faith in God.
3- Matt.7: With Jesus in you, you do not become a robot or an animal, but you still have freedom, you can be good or bad, a good son of God or a bad one.
Give us today our daily bread:
With Jesus in you, you still have the battle of faith, you are still free, and in need of the daily bread to fortify yourself every day: The Word of God and the Eucharist, our daily bread!, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you" (Jn.6:53).
And, of course, God is the one who provides us also with the daily physical bread.
Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us:
This is scary, but you have to pray it just like that: If you don't forgive your neighbor, you are asking God not to forgive you… or if you forgive but do not forget, you are asking God not to forget your sins… really scary, but real!…
To emphasize this reality, it is added immediately: "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father also will forgive you; but if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses" (Matt.6:14-15).
Lead us not into temptation:
Yes, my brother, with Jesus in you, you will still have temptations… as I, Jesus, had them, and precisely when I was praying and fasting for 40 days!… and the same kind of temptations, of vanity or pride or lust, and of honor and of power (Matt.4, Lk.4).
But don't worry, I, Jesus, am with you, "and the one who is in you is more powerful than he who is in the world" (1Jn.4:4)… just keep on trusting in Me, by praying.
But delivers us from evil:
"Sin" is the evil of a Christian, and of a non-Christian… the root of all evils, and sicknesses, and accidents, and quarrels, and all kind of problems and failures…
And it is so easy now to be deliver from sin: Just believe in Me, in Jesus, and do what I tell you to do: First of all, get baptized in my Church. If you fall after Baptism, it's still so easy:go to a minister of my Church, to whom I gave the power to forgive or not to forgive sins, the power that before only God himself had (Jn.20:23, Mk.2:7).
If you have a "sin", you can not erase it by making a million sacrifices and a million of good works… but it is so easy now, with the power of My Blood, just believe in Me, in Jesus… just keep on praying, a great sign that you really believe!.
All in plural!:
In the Lord's Prayer, everything is in plural: "Our", "'us", "we"… Christianity is a community of love… the prayer for only oneself is often an act of selfishness, instead of prayer… prayer is love, the outward expression of our love to God, based in our faith and trust into Him… and an expression of our love to our neighbors, to our brothers and sisters in God.
