St. Francisca Salesia Aviat, Frances de Sales, 1844-1914

    From France, she founded the Sister Oblates of Saint Francis of Sales in Troyes, France, dedicated to helping young women who poured into the cities during the Industrial Revolution. She took the Salesian Rule for the congregation
    Opened homes and schools for working class girls.
    Her canonization miracle involved the healing of a 14 year old Philadelphia girl.

St. Theodosius Abbot, (423-529)

    From Cappadocia, Antioch, govern a monastery near Bethlehem. Bishop of Jerusalem Superior of all the religious communities of Palestine.
    He built a large monastery, three churches and five hospitals.
    He successfully opposed the Eutychian heresy in Jerusalem and all of Palestine, and for this was banished by the emperor Anastasius.
    The holy abbot suffered a long and painful illness and refused to pray to be cured, calling it a salutary penance for his former successes. He died at the age of a hundred and six.
