Saint Catherine of Sweden, 1331-1381

    Fourth of the eight children of Saint Bridget of Sweden. Married by arrangement at age 13,  both she and her husband took vows of chastity and continence.

    Worked for the canonization of her mother Bridget.  at Vadstena Catherine became superior of the Order of the Holy Savior (Bridgettines), and served as abbess.
